We are a small volunteer club, and we keep this simple. This page explains what the Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven collects through this website and why.

What we collect

  • Contact form. Your name, email address and message are required. Your phone number is optional. The form sends them as an email to the club's inbox. We do not save contact messages in the website's database.
  • Other website forms. Some forms the club publishes save your answers so officers can read them, and also email them to the club.
  • Member accounts. Accounts are invite-only. A member's account holds their name, email address and a password (stored scrambled, never as plain text). Members can add a phone number, title, bio and photo.
  • Event RSVPs. Members who are signed in can RSVP to an event. We save your answer (yes, no or maybe), the number of guests and an optional note.

How we use it

We use it to answer your messages, run club events and keep the member site working. We do not sell your information.

Your choices as a member

In your profile you choose whether your email and phone number show in the member directory, and whether you appear in it at all. You can also turn off announcement emails.

Services we use

  • Zeffy handles donations and dues on its own site. The club never sees your card details. Zeffy's privacy policy applies there.
  • Google reCAPTCHA helps block spam on our forms. It loads only when you start using a form, and Google's privacy policy applies.
  • Google Analytics counts visits, and which pages are used. It also counts clicks on donate, dues, email and phone links, and RSVPs, form sends and sign-ups. It does not receive your name or email.
  • Vercel Analytics gives us basic visit counts.
  • Sentry reports site errors to us. We strip email addresses, passwords, cookies and similar details before they are sent.

Cookies

Signed-in members get a sign-in cookie that lasts up to 30 days. Google Analytics may set its own cookies in your browser. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
